About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a part-time role requiring 20 hours of work per week. The primary responsibility is to provide timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of all assigned monies. The role involves delivering superior quality service by identifying and understanding clients' financial needs, supporting sales and service activities, and assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The position requires engaging clients with a smile, facilitating courteous conversation, and conducting both complex and standardized transactions. The banker will also educate clients on digital self-service solutions and participate in client outreach to identify needs or opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills.
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions.
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients and conducting transactions.
  • Educate clients on digital self-service solutions including ATMs, Online and Mobile banking.
  • Support team sales process through client outreach and identifying client needs.
  • Understand and implement Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) practices.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advance individual and product knowledge through training and meetings.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.
