About The Position

The Universal Banker position in Oak Ridge, TN, is a full-time role focused on providing timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of all assigned monies. The role emphasizes delivering superior quality service by identifying and understanding clients' financial needs. The Universal Banker will be cross-trained to support sales and service activities, particularly in outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The position requires engaging clients with a friendly demeanor, educating them on digital banking solutions, and participating in client outreach to identify needs and opportunities. The Universal Banker will also adhere to internal controls and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with current guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients and conducting transactions while uncovering their needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions including ATMs, Online and Mobile banking.
  • Support team sales process through client outreach and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advance individual and product knowledge through training and meetings.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.
