Universal Banker II is a cross functional position and will undertake most or all of the following activities: Assist with wide variety of customer services, including opening and maintaining deposit and savings accounts, safe deposit boxes and e-banking products. Open complex business accounts and have the ability to discuss the Bank's cash management product with the customer. Support the teller line by receiving checks and cash for deposit, verifying deposit amounts, and examining checks for endorsement and negotiability, and issue negotiable items; and balance cash drawer within Bank guidelines. May balance vault, ATM and process night drop transactions. Performs tasks such as preparing official checks, accepting loan payments, redeeming savings bonds, and scanning daily transactions with accuracy. Responsibilities may include monitoring and balancing branch reports. May assist lending officers with various task to include creation of loan files and monitoring to ensure documentation is up-to-date and properly recorded, disbursement of funds and resolution of routine customer issues and inquiries. May assist loan officer with preparation of consumer, real estate and/or commercial loan documents using the Bank's loan documentation system. Assist with other duties within the branch as requested or assigned. Adheres to and completes all transactions in accordance with Bank policies, procedures, and security measures to protect customers and avoid losses or penalties to the Bank.
