About The Position

This position helps business, nonprofit, and consumer clients with their banking transactions and with the management of their financial resources by addressing questions; solving problems; identifying their needs; recommending the appropriate products and services based on those needs; selling the designated bank products the clients desire; or referring them to the appropriate individuals / departments who can fulfill their needs, as appropriate.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED. Two- or four-year post-secondary degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a financial institution role, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in financial services or retail/business banking.
  • Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred.
  • Experience providing high quality customer service.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Ability to count and balance cash.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Windows and ten key calculators.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Vault Teller Duties and Oversee/Support Balancing Procedures
  • Accurately oversee and/or perform balancing of the ATM, cash drawers, gift cards, and “end of day” transactions (cash advances, coin machine, teller drawer, vault duties).
  • Research and locate differences.
  • Work with the audit team when conducting audits.
  • Handle all teller cash requests and oversee the filling of change orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all currency bought and sold.
  • Follow and maintain dual control procedures as required.
  • Accept and Process Client Transactions
  • Service clients quickly and ensure fluidity within the branch.
  • Accept and process commercial, consumer and nonprofit clients’ checking and savings deposits.
  • Accept mortgage, installment, commercial loan, and overdraft protection payments, as well as line of credit payments and advances.
  • Process night deposit, mail, and courier transactions.
  • Remain knowledgeable and current on the products/services you support in the teller and universal banker 1 functions.
  • Provide Strong Internal/External Customer Service
  • Warmly greet all clients calling the branch or entering the lobby.
  • Handle calls promptly, accurately, friendly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Complete stop payment paperwork in an accurate in efficient manner, be it over the phone or in person. Complete the paperwork and input on the system.
  • Expand and Strengthen Current and New Client Relationships
  • On a day-to-day basis, educate our clients on products and services that may improve their financial health based on the life stage they are in and the goals they have, etc.
  • Participate in educational, product fulfillment and referral initiatives launched by the organization
  • Perform any, and all, new account and product opening processes and procedures expeditiously and accurately.
  • Help assist clients to complete loan applications and maintain compliance with consumer loan rules and regulations.
  • Refer Other Products and Services
  • Listen for opportunities to refer and deepen new and existing client relationships with products and services that may fulfill their needs from other business units.
  • Work with other FSBT employees including but not limited to Cash Management, Bank Services, Mortgage, Trust, Hanzlik, Valley Insurance, etc. to help the client get the assistance they need.
  • Accurately complete the designated COR (Client Opportunity Referral) process on the Hub.
  • Ensure client’s needs were met by following up with him/her.
