About The Position

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by being well-versed in teller work and new accounts as well as handling transactions pertaining to loans, collections and/or exchanges. Serves as a new account representative and teller interchangeably on a regular basis. Requirements

  • Clear and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to diagnose, resolve or escalate a critical situation
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to use multiple computer systems and applications
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • GOOD CREDIT IS A MUST
  • CREDIT REPORT IS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teller and cash handling experience preferred
  • Previous new account opening experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Community First Bank’s products, services and policies
  • Knowledge of daily branch, vault and ATM operations
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues as appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Handles customer transactional needs such as processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing requests, credit card advances, money orders, and other forms of negotiable items
  • Images proof work through branch capture machine to include reviewing work and making corrections
  • Opens various new depository account products and services
  • Works with customers to update existing deposit accounts
  • Maintains a well-developed, working knowledge of products, services and processes offered
  • Accurately utilizes equipment and remains knowledgeable of equipment functionality to perform role
  • Completes documents for special requests such as direct deposit, wire transfers, stop payments, etc.
  • May also provide assistance to lenders by pulling credit bureau checks, flood determinations, OFAC/Combined report from Horizon and creating customer profiles for new banking relationships within Horizon
