About The Position

The Universal Banker - Floater at M&T Bank specializes in enhancing the branch customer experience through sales, service, and digital engagement for both Consumer and Business Banking customers. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on Consumer and Business Banking solutions and make recommendations based on their needs.
• Engage customers to encourage the use of digital banking capabilities.
• Explain criteria for loan application decisions.
• Complete servicing-related responsibilities for customer relationships and identify additional banking needs.
• Follow the Bank's sales process and provide customer-focused advice.
• Proactively reach out to customers to retain and expand banking relationships.
• Adhere to customer service standards and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
• Manage lobby engagement by greeting customers and addressing their banking needs.
• Introduce banking partners when product solutions are needed.
• Assist with AML, BSA, and KYC processes and escalate suspected fraud cases.
• Resolve and log customer complaints accurately.
• Review and help resolve customer overdrafts.
• Complete customer transactions accurately.
• Document customer interactions and appointments appropriately.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Promote diversity and reflect the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal control standards and implement audit points as necessary.
• Meet registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
