About The Position

A Universal Banker's purpose is to achieve the loan and deposit goals, assist customers with the opening and closing of accounts, process loan applications, cross-sell products and services, and provide exceptional customer service to all customers of Independent Bank. This position will provide support for the teller position if needed. Universal Bankers must adhere to all Bank policies, procedures and all compliance regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year sales experience
• Basic PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent customer Service skills

Responsibilities

• Opening / Closing Deposit Accounts (Checking & Savings)
• Accept and Process loan applications
• Close Loans for Auto, Unsecured, Home Equity and Mortgage
• Assist customers with general account inquiries
• Open Certificates of Deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts
• Control fraud, NSF, and charge-off losses
• Provide assistance to Branch Manager
• Other duties as assigned
