About The Position

The Universal Banker position at Truist Bank involves providing exceptional client service by efficiently completing transactions and understanding clients' financial needs. The role requires cross-training to support sales and service activities, particularly in outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The banker will engage clients, educate them on digital banking solutions, and ensure compliance with operational procedures and risk management policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills for branch automation.
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions and risk management.
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients and conducting transactions.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service banking solutions.
  • Support team sales processes through client outreach and identifying needs.
  • Understand and implement Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) practices.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advance individual and product knowledge through training and meetings.
  • Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.
