About The Position

The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina is recruiting a board certified/board eligible Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon with exceptional expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques and sports-related foot and ankle injuries. The incumbent will partner with our current orthopaedic faculty and clinical staff in serving patients in the Charleston tri-county area, including local and regional professional sport teams.

Requirements

• Board certification/eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery with fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
• Exceptional proficiency in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgical techniques.
• Specialized expertise in sports-related foot and ankle injuries.
• Strong commitment to clinical research participation and leadership.
• Publication record or demonstrated research potential.

• Experience with professional and collegiate athlete care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical excellence in orthopedic surgery with a focus on foot and ankle procedures.
• Perform minimally invasive foot and ankle surgical techniques.
• Treat sports-related foot and ankle injuries, including arthroscopic procedures and cartilage restoration techniques.
• Participate in clinical research and lead collaborative research teams.
• Engage in patient-reported outcomes research and surgical technique innovation studies.
• Contribute to multi-center clinical trials.
• Participate in medical education and resident/fellow training.
