About The Position
Operates console that controls automatic strapping equipment to place strapping around units of corrugated paperboard products. Reads production orders to determine arrangement of strapping around units of corrugated paperboard products Observes stacks/units moving along conveyor to identify product, and to detect defective product, and presses console buttons to strap units/stacks to predetermined specifications Controls conveyor that transfers strapped units/stacks to storage or delivery platform Stops equipment to clear jams Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction Keeps record of production and equipment performance
