About The Position

The Unite Summit targets students in their freshman or sophomore year, currently enrolled at a four-year college or university. Our summit was designed to expose participants to workshops and activities designed to foster leadership qualities, build connections, and encourage collaboration! Participants will also partake in job coaching and enhanced professional development. Through this program, participants will receive exposure to insurance career paths, enhance their business acumen, and have an opportunity to secure a Summer 2027 internship.
The Unite Summit will take place Sunday, June 21st – Tuesday, June 23rd in Liberty’s corporate headquarters in Boston, MA. This in-person event is for those who are located near the New England area with limited space for those located outside of New England. Liberty Mutual will incur all costs for approved travel accommodations.
Here's what you can look forward to as a (an):
Finance attendee:
Network with recent college hires and others in Liberty’s finance community
Learn more about career paths and finance opportunities participants can pursue
Gain exposure to the role finance plays at an insurance company and how the work contributes to the company’s overall success
Develop and enhance skills necessary for success in the field
Data Analytics attendee:
Interact with recent college hires who are participating in Liberty’s Analyst Development Program and learn more about their training, rotational experience, and exposure to data driven projects
Hear from industry experts and program managers to learn more about how data analytics impacts the insurance industry
Engage in a case workshop to develop your analytical approach and technical interviewing skills
Shadow analysts to learn more about the data tools and platforms used at Liberty Mutual Insurance
Actuarial attendee:
Build relationships with peers and members of Liberty’s actuarial community through workshops and a case competition designed to strengthen your actuarial knowledge and to give you exposure to real actuarial work.
Learn what types of actuarial roles you can pursue at Liberty, what it’s like to work as an actuary, and necessary skills for a successful career in the field.
Hear from recent college graduates in our Actuarial Development Program, connect with some of our senior actuaries, and learn about some of our actuarial functions at Liberty Mutual.

Applicants who meet basic criteria will be expected to complete a virtual interview prior to being invited to the summit. This is a highly competitive program with limited space, so be sure to apply today!

Requirements

• Be a current freshman or sophomore attending a four-year college or university
• Be on track to graduate in 2028 or 2029
• Be available to participate and attend the full length of the summit in person
• You must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. We will not sponsor employment visas. Candidates who will require future sponsorship, including candidates on CPT/OPT/STEMOPT who will require future sponsorship are not eligible to apply.
• Be interested in exploring an internship in one of the following functions: Data Analytics, Finance, Actuarial
