This position is a working team lead role responsible for planning, anticipating issues, and managing priorities within the work area, aligning with overall company goals. The lead will assist with scheduling and monitoring work tasks to maintain and improve production efficiency and ensure timely workflow. Key responsibilities include maintaining accountability for the area, providing supervisor coverage and support when needed (including attending meetings and supervising staff in a supervisor's absence), and handling day-to-day operations. The role acts as a point of contact for troubleshooting and employee concerns, identifying and reporting machine maintenance needs, addressing minor interpersonal conflicts, and escalating issues to management. The Unit Team Lead is also responsible for training employees on work processes, coaching and mentoring, and promoting and supporting safety compliance by proactively addressing potential safety concerns and reporting unsafe issues to management. Collaboration with all levels of employees and management is essential.
