About The Position
A Unit Support Technician is responsible and accountable for the delivery of supportive patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse/Imaging or Special Diagnostics staff. This role involves assisting staff in patient care provision and tending to unit needs as assigned. The position is vital for providing essential assistance and comfort to patients, aiming to ensure the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees and 700 physicians, serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years. It operates as both a community hospital and a state-designated Level I Trauma Center, offering specialized services including advanced cardiac and vascular facilities, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care, and weight-loss surgery. The center also houses Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital, a state-designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program, and Fair Oaks Pavilion, a 53-bed adult psychiatry unit.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of supportive patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse/Imaging or Special Diagnostics staff
- Assisting the staff in the provision of patient care
- Tending to the unit needs as assigned by the staff
- Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients
