About The Position

The Unit Support Coordinator (USC) is responsible for conducting protective service operations under the direction of the Designated Security/Regional Security Officer (DS/RSO). This role encompasses all aspects of organizing, managing, supervising, and scheduling assigned personnel to ensure that the protective security requirements of the contract and Task Order (TO) are met. The USC will ensure that all assigned personnel are properly trained, equipped, briefed, and mentally and physically prepared each time they are dispatched on protective services assignments. Additionally, the USC will develop and implement plans for route surveys, alternative routes, safe havens, contingency operations, facility perimeter security, foot patrol coordination, and evacuation. Coordination with the DS/RSO on team staffing issues is also a critical responsibility, along with evaluating assigned personnel to ensure that all positions are filled with qualified individuals and identifying personnel for promotion into leadership roles.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in protective security assignments.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a protective security supervisory or in-charge capacity.
  • Five (5) years of experience in armed protective services with skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course.
  • Twelve (12) additional months of protective security experience on WPS III or related contracts.
  • Three (3) months of experience as a shift leader on WPS III or related contracts.
  • Must attend and successfully complete a supervisory course as per WPS III IDIQ requirements.
