About The Position

Under the direction of the Program Director or designee, performs duties in directing the work efforts of assigned staff and day-to-day operations of the program staff tasks; performs related work as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Social Work
  • Michigan Bachelor’s Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential
  • Two (2) years experience working with adults with mental illness, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities AND one (1) year experience managing a caseload directly providing case management and/or supports coordination services.
  • Bachelors in Human Services Field (or a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development/Family Relations, Occupational Therapy, Community Mental Health, Chemical Dependence, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling or Education).
  • Michigan Bachelor’s Level Social Worker (LBSW) credential
  • Three (3) years experience working with children, adults, and families with mental illness, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities AND one (1) year experience managing a caseload directly providing case management and/or supports coordination services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MDHHS credentials as a Child Mental Health Professional and Qualified Intellectual/Developmental Disability Professional (QIDP).
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays, or irregular hours.
  • Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License, current automobile insurance, and the use of personal vehicle during work hours; willing to transport consumers. Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.
  • Ability to physically perform the tasks.
  • Ability to provide supervisory coverage as needed.
  • Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Hearing – Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
  • Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
  • Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
  • Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation
