Job Summary Under the direction of the charge nurse facilitates and coordinates patient services specific to the age of the patient population served in the Emergency Department. He/she ensures that quality services are provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Responsible to the Director of Emergency Services, reports to the Charge Nurse. Works effectively with members of the health care team, administrative personnel, and maintains cooperative working relationships intra and inter-departmentally. Requirements
- Education: High School Graduate.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years prior computer-data entry skills preferred.
- Prior medical setting experience in physician office, hospital etc. preferred
