About The Position

Requirements

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and direct them appropriately while answering any questions they may have.
  • Initiate and maintain medical records during patient stays and close them upon discharge within the electronic medical record system.
  • Process all patient and special charges efficiently.
  • Serve as the unit receptionist for incoming and outgoing calls and visitor information.
  • Interact frequently with unit personnel, physicians, visitors, and patients' families to exchange information.
  • Answer patient lights and fulfill requests for non-care items, and assist patients in attending appointments.
  • Order and receive all patient and unit equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
