About The Position

The Family Birth Center includes 15 LDR rooms, 1 natural birthing suite, a 7 bed Triage, 3 ORs, 3 recovery beds, and 10 antepartum beds. We do over 4,000 deliveries per year. The Unit Secretary coordinates the non-clinical aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. Performs unit clerical functions. Acts as a receptionist. Acts as an intradepartmental and interdepartmental liaison. Orders and stocks office supplies, coordinates repair of office & unit equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• Specialized Unit Secretary/Health Unit Coordinator training preferred
• 1 year of clerical or customer service experience preferred
