About Our Unit The ED Observation Unit is a 20-bed observation unit and is located at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia PA . Jefferson Einstein Hospital is also recognized for its high performance in the following procedures/conditions: Congestive Heart Failure & Kidney Failure Schedule Commitment Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following: Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts Must be able to work every third (3rd) weekend Holiday commitment consists of 1 holiday per season
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months of clerical experience
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides support to the nurse manager with reports, data, and special assignments.
- Transcribes physician orders for medications, diets, treatments, etc.
- Coordinate errands as directed/necessary for the department
- Prepare, comply, and maintain patient records
