About The Position

Unit Secretary – Emergency Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093. Work hours: PRN/As Needed: Day shift 12-hour variable Weekday shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm) with weekend and holiday requirements Orientation/Training: Must be able to attend orientation/training Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm during the first week of hire Emergency Department Highlights Self-scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth, Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 150 patients/day Here’s What You Need H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required. No experience required 1 year of Unit Secretary experience in an emergency services setting preferred. Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills. CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required What You Will Do ORGANIZATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS: Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers. Demonstrates acceptable organizational skills. Communicates effectively. Interactions include consideration for patient population specific needs. Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks. Requirements
