Unit Secretary positions are available at the Upper Chesapeake Health Inpatient Behavioral Health Pavilion in Aberdeen, Maryland. Performs clerical duties on the assigned unit. Assists in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, assists the patient care team to provide various patient care activities. Maintains customer service focus essential for smooth unit operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to: a) manual finger dexterity with hand-eye coordination, b) basic computer skills and typing, c) convey effective verbal and written communications; d) follow directions; e) organize and manage decisions consistent with current policies, procedures and nursing standards; f) adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts; g) effectively function as a member of a collaborative team; h) respond to emergency situations appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience as a medical and/or customer service secretary preferred.
