Medical Surgical Care Unit is a 28-bed unit, all telemetry capable with 8-10 progressive care beds that is focused on caring for the adult medical and surgical patient population with a diversity of disease processes. The Medical Surgical Care Unit foster a culture that empowers new graduate and experienced nurses to learn, grow professionally, and provide exceptional care. The leadership team takes a shared vision approach to ensure we meet the needs of team members and patients. The unit's mission is to foster collegial relationships between the entire inter-professional team such as the medical teams, care coordination, pastoral care, nutrition, environmental service, etc. to create a nurturing, caring, and positive environment for everyone. The medical surgical care unit achieved their 2nd Gold Beacon award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). The Unit Secretary performs a variety of clerical tasks involved in preparing, maintaining and processing patient and unit activities, data and records.
