Overview Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, the employee is required to work assigned shift and is subject to overtime and call back and holiday hours as circumstances dictate. The employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital. Responsibilities Communicate with patients and their families when they present for imaging services in a pleasant manner. Route telephone calls throughout the Imaging Service Department and the entire organization. Must demonstrate proficient use of Radiology Information System, PACS and film digitizer as it relates to film file management. Monitors family in the waiting room. Reviews on the monitor and sends images to PACS. Must demonstrate the ability to Import CD's and properly getting them into the correct folder in PACS. Basic knowledge of Electronic Whiteboard and how to use it as it pertains to their area. Prepares outside films for interpretation as requested. Adheres to «Quality Plus» and departmental policies and procedures. Participate in problem solving activities. Adapt and practice «Quality Plus» culture. Contribute to a positive work environment and overall team effort of the department. Able to prepare documents and images for legal services. Performs responsibilities as related to the safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste. Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department with no demonstrated hostility. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed. Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma with reading, writing, and mathematical skills or GED. Knowledge of medical terminology desired. LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION: CPR certificated within 90 days EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures as normally acquired through 3 months of on-the-job training and employee orientation.
