Make a lasting first impression on a nursing unit - meeting and greeting patients and family members in need of a compassionate ear and calm direction. Light up the room with your presence. Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service - keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Page nurses and answer phones on your unit. Sign for important medical deliveries. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities. This is a part time night shift position working 7:00pm - 7:15am, with rotating weekends and holidays, at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital (located in Cortlandt Manor, Upper Westchester County, NY). Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Qualified candidates have at least one year of previous clerical experience and basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
