Make a Difference The Unit Secretary provides general clerical support for one of the hospital’s nursing units. This typically involves receiving and processing physician orders, receiving visitors in-person and by phone, routing phone calls as appropriate, ordering supplies for the unit, responding to call-lights, etc.

Requirements

  • Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting
  • have excellent communication skills
  • a positive attitude toward problem-solving
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) months of telemetry experience is required

Responsibilities

  • receiving and processing physician orders
  • receiving visitors in-person and by phone
  • routing phone calls as appropriate
  • ordering supplies for the unit
