About The Position
About the unit 2D Observation is a 21-bed unit at Blodgett who cares for a variety of patient populations. This team collaborates well and is proficient in delivering care in a timely manner. The observation operates as an extension of the emergency department caring for patients who are hospitalized for less than 48 hours. Being a part of this dynamic team allows you to strengthen your critical thinking skills and provide excellent patient care. Some examples of the patient populations treated on the Observation unit include cellulitis, CHF, asthma, kidney stones, and TIA. Scope of work Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of relevant experience Preferred
