About The Position

Unit Secretary – Emergency Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Kaufman- 850 Ed Hall Drive, Kaufman, TX 75142 Work hours: Part time 24 hours a week. As an 81-bed, full-service hospital, we provide acute care to patients throughout Kaufman County and surrounding regions. We offer a wide range of services, including orthopedic and general surgery, diagnostic imaging, and outpatient physical therapy. Our specialties also include respiratory care, nuclear medicine, and emergency services, ensuring accessible care across a variety of patient needs. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • No experience is required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days is required
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers
  • Demonstrates acceptable organizational skills
  • Communicates effectively
  • Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers and all other disciplines
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in schedule and/or workload assignment necessary to meet changing needs of the individual patient or unit
  • Makes new team members feel welcome and offers assistance with orientation of new employees
