About The Position

Golden Palms Rehabilitation and Retirement Come join our team and start making a difference! Maintain department’s supplies and keeps equipment operational. Organize, label and file charts and medical records. Help transport residents as needed. Act as an information resource for patients, families, visitors, physicians, and outside reviewers in person and/or via telephone. Complete clerical duties for admissions, discharges, transfers, deaths and passes such as transcribing orders to medication/treatment sheets, ordering medications, dietary changes, therapies etc. Complete lab and special examination requisitions and data entry, as it pertains to the medical records department. Greet visitors, doctors, and new admissions with warmth and friendliness; helping with any assistance needed. Transcribe and verify admission orders and daily doctor’s telephone orders will be verified and transcribed in a timely manner. Complete medical records by reviewing and assembling paperwork in proper order into a permanent folder. Order labs, ultrasounds etc. required for new admissions. Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures. Operate paging/telephone system as required. Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department. Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed. Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately. Receive, sort and distribute mail as directed.
