About Our Unit Moss-Magee Rehab Elkins Park Comprehensive Rehab Unit (CRU) is a 50 bed unit located on the 3rd floor of Elkins Park Moss Rehab. 3 Main has 26 beds and 3 West has 24 beds. The patient population on 3 Main and 3 West is varied. Primary diagnoses include but are not limited to patients with: upper and lower limb amputations, total hip and knee replacements, hip fractures, orthopedic trauma, debility from medical complexities and other co-morbidities, transplant patients, stroke patients and cancer rehab and cardiac rehab patients. CRU has a multidisciplinary team consisting of Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Unit Secretaries, a clinical manager and a nurse manager. Well known for its success treating spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, traumatic brain injury and related conditions, Moss-Magee Rehab sees nearly 2,800 inpatients and 190,000 outpatients yearly. Schedule Commitment Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following: Must be able to work (12) hour shifts Must be able to work every third (3rd) weekend Holiday commitment consists of 1 holiday per season
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months of clerical experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Must be able to work (12) hour shifts

Responsibilities
- Provides support to the nurse manager with reports, data, and special assignments.
- Transcribes physician orders for medications, diets, treatments, etc.
- Coordinate errands as directed/necessary for the department
- Prepare, comply, and maintain patient records
