About The Position

Position Summary: Assists in the functioning of the nursing unit according to all policies an procedures of the facility Essential Functions: The Cypress Club fully embraces a culture of hospitality. We pay attention to details. Answer telephone on the Nursing Unit and channels calls to appropriate person/department. Transcribe diagnoses on the physician orders as indicated, recording in appropriate places (MAR, Treatment Sheet, Flow Sheet). Place lab and x-ray reports in chart after reviewed by charge nurse. Receive and dispense oral and written information in a courteous and professional manner. Sort and distribute departmental mail. Communicate clearly, professionally, and politely with all residents, visitors, and staff members Maintain confidentiality of all resident and employee information learned in performance of duties. Understands the responsibility to report suspected violations of the LCS Code of Conduct to appropriate persons, or the LCS Compliance Hotline, or by completing a Written Report of Suspected Compliance Violation, or by contacting the Corporate Compliance Officer directly. Takes appropriate precautions to avoid job related injuries and complies with injury reporting guidelines. Actively participates in safety programs and complies with The Cypress Club policies and procedures. Looks for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff and visitors. Embraces The Cypress Hospitality Promises daily. Additional Responsibilities: Prepare admission packets. Rasheed charts as necessary Make copies as needed and receive or send faxes as needed. Schedule doctor appointments as needed Schedule beauty shop appointments as needed. Notify proper personnel of equipment in need of repair or servicing. Order office supplies Prepare work orders for the Maintenance Department. Communicates with Security as necessary. Attend mandatory in-service programs as required. Additional duties as assigned. Hours : Dayshift /12 hours shifts Time: 8AM-8PM

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Minimum of one-year clerical experience, preferably in a hospital or long-term care environment
  • knowledge of medical terminology required
  • must possess excellent organizational skills, be able to follow direction accurately with moderate supervision, and work accurately with frequent interruptions.
  • Minimum of 50 wpm typing speed, and experience working on a personal computer required.
  • Must be able to operate switchboard telephone, FAX machine, copier, and other office machines.
  • Must be able to work independent of close supervision, and accurately with frequent interruptions.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • to perform additional tasks necessary to meet standards of care and service.
