Scope of work Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. The Unit Secretary is the “go to” on each unit for clerical support. Responsibilities include taking phone calls, helping with directions to all visitors or outside team members to the unit (lab, radiology, patient transport, nutrition services, environmental services), calling support when directed by clinical staff, assisting with discharge, admit, and transfer paperwork, ordering supplies, ensuring rooms are appropriately stocked, answering call lights for any non-direct patient care needs, etc.
