About The Position

Hospital Details: SKY REHAB, located in Bowling Green, KY is a 60 bed inpatient rehab providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families. SKY Rehab Hospital has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for the following services and specialty programs: Inpatient Rehabilitation (Adults, Adolescents, and Children), Brain Injury Specialty Program (Adults), and Stroke Specialty Program (Adults). Our hospital is also accredited by The Joint Commission.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a unit secretary course or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year experience in a medical clerical field preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for directing the orderly flow of unit and patient related data.
• Responsible for communications through the answering and initiation of telephone calls, written messages, and the organization and completion of the various charts, requisitions, reports and other forms.
