This is a non- patient contact role, primary focus is to deep clean and sanitize the bassinets in the NICU. About the unit The Neonatal ICU is a Critical Care Unit within Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, caring for newborn babies born with various conditions that haven't yet been discharged to go home with their family. We are the largest NICU in Michigan and care for babies from 37 counties. The NICU unit is a 108 bed unit. Scope of work Performs sanitization duties that require a high level of detail, maintains supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame. Please note that there is no direct patient care involved in this support role and it involves 10 hour shifts of sanitizing incubators/bassinets of the NICU babies.
