About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of basic management experience.
  • 1 year of related functional experience.

  • Experience leading safety within a construction environment.
  • Knowledge of site-specific and OSHA requirements (1910 & 1926).
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and electronic permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a safety culture for an Oil & Gas client in Houston, TX.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with North American and client safety guidelines.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Train staff and oversee work to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Proactively evaluate potential hazards and conduct thorough reporting.
  • Review unit-specific policies and procedures for controlling occupational health, safety, and environmental hazards.
  • Measure the effectiveness of Operational Excellence / HS&E strategies and programs.
  • Complete Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental audits.
  • Recommend and manage safety devices and equipment to protect employees and customers.
  • Serve as a liaison to external professional organizations and regulatory groups.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to staff performing audit work.
  • Analyze chemicals in the workplace to reduce hazardous materials exposure.
  • Provide safety management and accident prevention assistance to Client units.
  • Produce HS&E progress reports to meet division objectives.
  • Conduct business statistical analyses on accidents and training.
  • Provide in-house consulting during inspections and HS&E investigations.
  • Train and educate employees on HS&E topics.
  • Track accident causes and injury trends and facilitate remedial actions.
  • Conduct routine on-site HS&E inspections and implement corrective action plans.
