About The Position

As a Unit Plant Manager for O-I you will manage the total operation of the production lines of an assigned furnace on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the line management system and continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. The Unit Plant Manager will: Drive the plant furnace to achieve the key performance goals (Safety, Quality, Total Best Cost, Productivity, and Flexibility) Promote a Manufacturing Excellence culture that and continuous improvement. Conducting production meetings and sponsor morning TPC meetings Leading and managing projects including upcoming furnace work and rebuild Successfully meet plant KPI’s The Unit Plant Manager should have: Proven management and continuous improvement skills Ability to collaborate with team members and supports employee engagement Coaching & mentoring skills and the ability to handle personnel issues. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Adequate knowledge of informational systems & ability to analyze data Experience working in the Glass Manufacturing Industry

  • Glass industry experience required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Production or Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience supervising/leading people and processes in manufacturing
