By relying on your nursing and managerial experience, you'll supervise the day to day duties of the nursing staff. Requirements
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state or compact state.
- Must possess a current CPR license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Previous long term care experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting in electronic medical records, etc., as necessary.
- Review documentation in the electronic health record/POC for accuracy and completeness.
- Inform unit nursing staff of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. and assure that rooms are ready for new admissions.
- Consult with the resident, his/her family, and the resident's provider in planning the resident's care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
- Assure that notification of the resident's provider and next of kin have been notified when there is a change in the resident's condition.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy to order/reorder resident medications including narcotics.
- Review the Medication Administration Audit Report, Facility Dashboard and C.N.A. flow books for completeness of documentation and accuracy.
- Participate in an on-call schedule.
