The Registered Nurse (R.N.) Unit Manager assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in the planning, direction and evaluation of total nursing care and functions in accordance with current Federal and State standards, guidelines and regulations and as may be required by the DON. The Unit Manager, R.N. serves as a member of Notre Dame Health Care's Long-Term Care and Skilled Rehabilitation Management team and has a 24-hour responsibility to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times in the Unit, including oversite of personnel relations, visitor services and experience, and assistance to other departments and other duties as assigned. Unit Manager, R.N. is expected to supervise all shift operations and address any and all concerns, including personnel relations, workplace injuries, resident rights/abuse allegations, and clinical care matters in a timely manner. The Unit Manager is required to report any and all concerns timely to the Director of Nursing. The Unit Manager, RN is required to communicate any relevant concerns or information to the Director of Nursing in a timely manner.
