About The Position

The Unit Head supervises a team of counselors and oversees daily operations within a specialized program for campers with special needs. Supports staff through coaching and feedback, coordinates programming and logistics, communicates regularly with families, and ensures a safe, inclusive environment. Experience working with children with special needs and prior leadership experience required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Complete First Aid/CPR and required safety trainings
• Pass a background check
• Be able to stay active outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication skills
• Comfort working with children
• Physical ability to supervise and assist campers—including in emergency situations
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Prior leadership experience
