The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Olympic Region as a State Lands Unit Forester. The position is located within the Olympic Experimental State Forest (OESF) and will implement unique policies and procedures, conducting land management activities within the OESF. We're seeking an experienced forester to lead the implementation of our strategic harvest plan, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and oversee all phases of the timber sale process. This position blends high-level project management with on-the-ground leadership, requiring strong collaboration with agency specialists and external partners. As the lead for your work unit, you'll supervise staff, ensure environmental and legal compliance, and shape the sustainable future of our working forests.
