About The Position

The position involves establishing, initiating, organizing, and conducting a comprehensive recreation activities treatment program. This program includes various components such as leisure education, creative expression, outdoor education, physical activity, and community reintegration. The primary goal is to enhance the use of coping strategies among patients and to support the objectives outlined in each patient's treatment plan. The role requires providing recreational activities services that align with the treatment plan and adjusting the intensity of services based on the patient's acuity. Additionally, the treatment plan must reflect any changes in acuity to ensure effective support for the patients.

Requirements

• Experience working in a trauma-informed setting with children or adolescents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Establish, initiate, organize, and conduct the recreation activities treatment program.
• Provide recreational activities services to patients that align with their treatment plans.
• Ensure the intensity of services is consistent with the patient's acuity.
• Assess patient leisure needs and develop behavioral treatment plans as appropriate.
• Maintain inventory and ordering of recreation activities supplies.
• Provide recreational plan, training, and guidance for QBHP staff.
