The Unit Coordinator is viewed as the primary point of contact for coordination of all activities related to the administrative operations of the department, which includes responding to requests for services and assistance with staff, patients, and visitors. The role involves collecting and maintaining data, spreadsheets, logs, and creating reports for data analysis. Additionally, the Unit Coordinator provides administrative support to staff at the direction of the Department Director and/or Clinical Team Manager.

  • Coordinate all activities related to the administrative operations of the department.
  • Respond to requests for services and assistance from staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Collect and maintain data, spreadsheets, and logs.
  • Create reports for data analysis.
  • Provide administrative support to staff as directed by the Department Director and/or Clinical Team Manager.
  • High school diploma or equivalent in GED.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to speak and read the English language fluently.
  • Proficient in use of computer hardware and software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Prior experience as unit clerk or in a medical support role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or coursework in medical terminology.
