About The Position

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center seeks a Unit Coordinator for Same Day Surgery Department. This individual will have the ability to effectively operate a variety of Microsoft Office, Outlook software, Meditech HIS software, Centricity, Optima, Achfax, and Athena required. Ability to effectively use the SVHC intranet to access the policies and procedures required. Ability to effectively prioritize a wide variety of simultaneous job functions with frequent interruptions required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations required. Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking patient care unit required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• One year in a support position in a health care environment required.
• Health care college education can replace work experience requirement on a one-year-to-one-year basis.
