About The Position

The position involves overseeing production reviews and shift production records to ensure performance targets are met. The role includes assigning daily tasks to align with these targets and making recommendations for schedule and sequencing adjustments to ensure the success of the shift's targeted production. The individual will work to reduce and eliminate scrap levels, inspect finished products for quality, and resolve any quality issues that arise. Additionally, the position requires working towards team initiatives, providing positive morale, and assisting in the design of yearly performance objectives. The individual will also coordinate scheduling, address attendance issues, and support the needs of subordinates. Safety and welfare of all employees is a priority, along with compliance to safety and housekeeping standards. The role also involves ensuring the maintenance of production machinery and striving for continuous improvement while working through others to reduce manufacturing costs. Compliance with all plant rules and standards is essential.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Forklift experience desired, but not required (training will be provided).

Responsibilities

• Review shift production records to determine if performance targets are being met.
• Assign daily tasks to align with achievement of performance targets.
• Make recommendations for schedule and sequencing adjustments.
• Reduce and/or eliminate scrap levels on the respective shift.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Resolve quality issues as appropriate.
• Support team initiatives and provide positive morale.
• Assist in the design of yearly performance objectives.
• Implement and monitor programming to meet desired outcomes.
• Coordinate the Unit's scheduling and address attendance issues.
• Support the needs of subordinates through various functions.
• Ensure safety and welfare of all employees and monitor compliance.
• Ensure maintenance of production machinery.
• Initiate activities to reduce manufacturing costs.
• Ensure compliance with all plant rules and standards.
• Ensure accuracy of customer orders including incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Label and package products.
• Receive incoming inventory and load/unload trucks and containers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Perform cycle counts and participate in physical inventories.
• Implement quality policy, environmental policy, and safety at work.
