POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all duties including, but not limited to: typing and PC applications, filing, business machine functions, telephone and written communications, and assists in the facilitation of quality patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgements or administration of medications .
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required
- PC and appropriate software knowledge, knowledge of office equipment and supplies.
- A solid understanding of department related terminology.
- Good communication skills both oral and written as well as good interpersonal skills required.
- Customer service oriented.
Nice To Haves
- business school or formal secretarial training a plus
- One to two years' minimum experience preferred
- Patient care experience, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity preferred
