Job Description Unit Secretary Clerks are responsible for the following: Provides support to the nurse manager with reports, data, and special assignments. Transcribes physician orders for medications, diets, treatments, etc. Runs errands as directed/necessary Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Unit Secretary Clerk will perform various clerical responsibilities on nursing units including preparing, compiling, and maintaining patient records.

Requirements

• High school diploma, or equivalent required
• Six (6) months of clerical experience required
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the nurse manager with reports, data, and special assignments.
• Transcribes physician orders for medications, diets, treatments, etc.
• Runs errands as directed/necessary
• Preparing, compiling, and maintaining patient records.
