About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Secretary maintains the overall organization of the nurse's station. She/He is responsible for the accurate transcription of physician orders and/or requests, and processing of patient needs by direct communication with the appropriate personnel. This position summary contains the most relevant duties and responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.

Requirements

  • Must have good knowledge of the English language.
  • Must have above average skills in spelling.
  • Must be computer literate. Prefer experience with Microsoft Office products or similar product.
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
  • High school diploma, GED or Higher Education required.
