The Unit Clerk in the Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health unit assists in non-clinical procedures and activities that are necessary to the operation of an organized nursing unit. This includes organizing and maintaining patient records, providing support to clinical staff in accessing medical records and retrieving documents, and performing clerical tasks required to support the functioning of the unit. Responsibilities also include supporting administrative departments, managing supplies, filing, and the completion and delivery of paperwork. The Unit Clerk will assist and support the hospital's contracted providers to ensure client access and service provision, coordinate client transportation and consult appointments as needed for clients and families, and provide telephone and unit desk coverage for unit, clinical, and medical staff. Reception desk coverage may also be required upon request.
