The position involves performing administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. The role includes greeting patients, visitors, and new admissions, answering general inquiries, and scheduling patients for appointments. Additionally, the position requires answering, screening, and routing telephone calls, as well as performing general clerical duties such as filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. The individual will create various reports and documents as assigned and assist patients/residents with basic technology and social media. Communication with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care is also a key responsibility. The role includes performing unit safety checks, assisting with meeting patient needs, and escalating issues as appropriate. Other tasks may include assisting with meals, passing and collecting trays, distributing activities, and transporting patients/residents through the facility. The individual may also assist with stocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in unit and patient rooms, as well as maintaining staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned.
