The UNM Master of Public Policy (MPP) is a professional degree that trains analysts to serve their communities by identifying and championing data-driven policy options and by conducting holistic program evaluation. The MPP program is looking for a Unit Administrator 1 to work at .75 FTE that would be responsible for all duties related to the MPP Program which includes, but are not limited to: Supporting the MPP graduate academic program, along with the UNM Evaluation Lab Fellowship Program, UNM Evaluation Lab Summer Institute (Including ECHO Learning Community), and MPP Contract & Grants. This position will also support the International Studies Institute (ISI) which is an umbrella organization for the interdisciplinary undergraduate program in International Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences. That offers students the opportunity to obtain a major or minor in International Studies. The goal of the Institute is to pursue broad-based initiatives such as coordinating lecture series and conferences, reaching out to secondary schools, and supporting international and interdisciplinary study, research, and outreach programs. The position also supports the Graduate Certificate in Race and Social Justice (RACE Certificate), which is a 15-credit transcripted certificate designed as an area of specialization for students pursuing a master's degree or a doctorate in disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, fine arts, or the professional schools at the University of New Mexico; and students, community members, and practitioners who are not currently enrolled graduate students but have earned a BA or higher. The UNM Master of Public Policy (MPP), the International Studies Institute, and Graduate Certificate in Race and Social Justice (RACE Certificate) are looking for a creative problem-solver to support students pursuing these degrees; manage GA and project contracts, payroll, oversee purchasing and fiscal processes, manage daily administrative operations, travel reimbursements, plans and manages budget and expenses, assist students with applicant processes, scheduling and other UNM processes; and help build and administer effective recruitment, community input, internship, community service and social media systems which will also include website maintenance.
