About The Position

Join the CBRE Team is maintaining a research-driven Pharmaceutical site in Ridgefield, CT Initial three month training period to gain site familiarity; may require work on varied shifts. Work under general supervision of the CBRE Sr. Account Manager at a GMP regulated facility maintaining FDA quality standards. Document all work within a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Assist licensed mechanics to maintain, adjust, and repair a variety of machines and equipment used to support building, manufacturing, and R&D operations. Perform all work assigned within the constraints of the CBA and in accordance with all company and customer standards, policies, and safe work practices. Maintain compliance with all Department Operating Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
  • May require a valid driver's license.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Simple math skills.
  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

  • Assist in maintenance and repair of all building systems and support equipment.

  • lubricate equipment
  • change filters
  • repack valves and bearings
  • adjust and renew belts
  • clean traps and strainers
  • replace packing glands
  • gaskets, cleaning, repairing, and replace equipment or other components, using hand tools and power tools
  • order parts and materials as needed to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Perform scheduled inspections to verify equipment and facilities are properly functioning.
  • Follow all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist other trades as needed to complete tasks related to operating and maintaining equipment and systems.
